This Season! Oh This Season!

I look into the Bible and I am amazed at how God orchestrates events in time and history. Let us look again into another event as the Prophet Zechariah prophesies the deliverance of Judah and Ephraim.

“As for you also, because of the blood of My covenant with you, I have set your prisoners free from the waterless pit.  Return to the stronghold, O prisoners who have the hope; This very day I am declaring that I will restore  double to you.  For I will bend Judah as My bow, I will fill the bow with Ephraim. And I will stir up your sons, O Zion, against your  sons, O Greece; And I will make you like a warrior’s sword. Then the LORD will appear over them, And His arrow will go  forth like lightning; And the LORD GOD will blow the trumpet, And will march in the storm winds of the south.”  Zechariah 9:11-14 (NASB95)

Make no mistake about it, this is the season that we are currently in! Is that to say that all this will happen this season, this year? No, not likely. However, I do believe that it will happen during this time of year at some point in time.

What’s going to happen?

Judah is in captivity. Jerusalem is destroyed. However, God has plans to bring them out of captivity, again. Why? Because of the BLOOD of His covenant with Israel. Because of that BLOOD is going to set captives free. He is returning Judah and Ephraim to Jerusalem who have hope. He is returning them from a waterless pit which is Babylon. Babylon was a dry place, but there was some hydro engineering done that watered the land. But God is promising to restore the people double. He is going to strengthen these people to stand against Greece and adversaries. The LORD GOD Himself will sound a trumpet and march on their behalf!

WOW! Okay. So?

Let’s look around at what’s going on today. Just take a minute and look around. Chaos, confusion, lies, deceit run rampant. Everything that the church holds near and dear, or what the church should hold near and dear, is facing a very real threat. However, we are covered by BLOOD of a Covenant!

Are we? Yes, we are.

But I remind you that Israel was under the BLOOD of Covenant, think back to Passover, and were disobedient. They found themselves in captivity, not to Egypt, to Babylon. Why? Disobedience.

Look into Deuteronomy, in Chapter 11. READ Chapter 11 carefully. This was God’s charge to Israel who were under the BLOOD of Covenant! When they got to where they were going, they became afraid and wandered around forty years in disobedience because they would not go into the land God promised them. They did not fully follow God.

Now, let’s look at Hebrews 12:4-17. I’m not going to write it out for you. Go ahead and pick up your Bible and read it. It speaks of the discipline of the LORD. The Lord disciplines his sons.

Why?

Verses 10 and 11 tell why. “…but He disciplines us for our good, so that we may share His holiness.” And, “…..it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.”. It does not say that obedience or discipline produces righteousness. It says that that those things produce the fruits of righteousness.

Friends, we are walking through a land that is dark and evil, a dry and waterless place. This world is not our home! All of THIS is temporary!

Much has been taken and it’s time that we begin to face the reality of truth. The truth is that this nation has, by and large, turned its back on God. I’ll even go further to say that it’s thumbed its nose at God!

A reproduction of the Arch of Baal was displayed in New York City and in Washington D.C in 2016 I believe. In 2015 the image of Kali was projected onto the Empire State Building! Could this nation be anymore flagrant in its disdain for God?

This nation needs to turn back to God. Our churches need to understand that they are not in a contract with government but in covenant with God. We as individuals need to repent and fully follow God. If no one else will, then let it begin with me!

Pardon me now. I must go. I must pray, confessing the sin and corrupt dealings of our nation, pleading for the righteous and that the unrighteous would see truth before it is too late. Will you join me?
