Welcome
Hello! I’m Lonnie Richardson and I am The Old Watchman Ezekiel. As you can see, I may be younger than some of you, but I’m more likely older than most. Let’s just say that I probably have fewer years ahead of me than I have behind me and leave it at that. I can tell you that the journey just to get to this starting point has been long and difficult, but it’s been worth every step. I cannot tell you the hours of anguish in prayer I have spent individually and with my wife to get to this point. However, all that is irrelevant. What is relevant is that we have arrived at this point.
For quite some time I have been aware of trending terms such as “deconstructing” or “reconstructing” that seem prevalent today. But that is not what my journey has been about. It’s not even been about the old-school term “revival”. No, what I experienced was…. an awakening! I was awakened by the sound of a biblical trumpet on September 9, 2018, the sound of a shofar. It spoke to me as the voice like the sound of a trumpet spoke to John in Revelation 1:10 and 4:1. The only difference was that John understood what the voice was saying to him. I didn’t have a clue. To discern what the trumpet was speaking to me was a journey, an adventure, unto itself. I never dreamed of the possibility that it would lead me to where I am now. I was awakened to a lost and dying world. I was awakened to evil that stalks the land. I was awakened to a woke society and a cancel culture that twists the Word of God subjectively to conform to a warped ideology and rhetoric. All those things must be addressed, and they will be addressed.
Know that I am a watchman. Read Ezekiel 33 and you’ll know where I’m coming from. And no, while some have referred to me as a Prophet, it is not a claim that I make or an office in which I reside. I have absolutely no problem deferring to the Prophets of old. I am a watchman. That which is good, I will call it good. That which is evil, I will call it evil. There will be no blood on my hands. And do not misinterpret my passion and zeal as anger or disdain towards any person or humanity. I love people enough to tell them the truth! Even if it’s not what you want to hear. So, be prepared! Some sacred cows are going to be thumped and branded.

First, we will be re-building the web site from top to bottom to make navigation more efficient for your benefit. It is our prayer that the resources you find here will assist you in your Bible Study to gain knowledge, increase your understanding, and help you apply wisdom. Herein, you will find a blog that will take you deep into the Scriptures and connect the dots as pieces of a glorious, full gospel fall into place. Additionally, there will be book reviews, Bible study material reviews, and Bible Study Methods for your consideration.
You will be able to access “The Old Watchman” YouTube channel here or via YouTube for video content. Additionally, we will be launching “The Watchman Speaks” podcast that will address modern dilemmas and current events from a biblical perspective. Additional access links to the podcast through podcast service providers will be provided shortly.
The road ahead will be difficult and tiring. I am prepared to stand firm, defending the gospel unashamed, as a warrior for Christ, watching from a high wall to sound an alarm of impending dangers as they approach.
